Clear Aligner Therapy in Gainesville, FL

What Is Clear Aligner Therapy?

Clear aligner therapy is an alternative to traditional braces. Unlike braces, no metal wires, brackets, or other components are needed. Instead, a series of “aligners” or “trays” are used to move your teeth. These clear aligners are virtually invisible when in place, allowing you to discretely achieve your ideal smile.

Each set of aligners is built to place precise pressure on your teeth, moving them toward the proper position in your mouth. By moving through multiple sets of aligners, you can straighten your teeth and get a beautiful smile, all without the need for uncomfortable metal braces. Clear braces options like Invisalign and ClearCorrect are also easier for maintaining proper oral hygiene since they can be removed for brushing and flossing. Contact your Gainesville dentist Dr. Feldman today to see if clear aligners, like ClearCorrect, are right for you.

Clear Aligner Therapy With ClearCorrect

At our office, Dr. Greg Feldman offers ClearCorrect, a leading provider of clear aligner therapy. Most patients who are unhappy with their smile can be treated at Gainesville Dentistry Co. with clear aligners.

ClearCorrect functions in the same exact way as Invisalign, and the difference is merely that they are two different companies. The difference between ClearCorrect with Gainesville Dentistry Co. and Smile Direct Club is that Dr. Feldman uses x-rays, photos, an intraoral scanner, and clinical examination to make the best determination about the safety and efficacy of moving your teeth. Do-it-yourself orthodontic options, like Smile Direct Club, are risky and often lead to loose, painful teeth or even an open bite where the teeth no longer touch as they should.

Am I a Good Candidate for ClearCorrect?

ClearCorrect may not be right for everyone. In certain cases, severe orthodontic problems may need treatment with metal braces and other traditional orthodontic methods. Certain situations warrant a referral to an orthodontist for proper treatment. To learn more and see if it’s right for you, schedule your consultation with Dr. Feldman.

The Benefits Of ClearCorrect

Invisible When Worn

ClearCorrect aligners are practically invisible when worn and won’t affect your speech. This means that nobody has to know about your orthodontic treatment unless you want them to know. You can continue to smile proudly throughout your treatment at our office.

Comfortable & Removable

You can remove your ClearCorrect aligners to eat and drink, so there aren’t any dietary restrictions. You can also remove them to brush and floss, which makes it easier to protect your oral health during treatment.

Fast Results

Most patients can be treated in about 12 months or less; however, this will vary from patient to patient. Depending on your orthodontic issues, you may have a shorter or longer treatment time. The biggest key to fast and effective results is compliance! If you are committed to wearing your clear braces as instructed, your teeth will move as planned.

The Clear Aligner therapy Process

Wondering what to expect when you get ClearCorrect? Here’s a quick overview of how ClearCorrect works at Gainesville Dentistry Co.

Initial Consultation

First, you’ll meet with Dr. Feldman to make sure that you’re a good candidate for treatment. If you’re approved, he will take photographs and measurements, capture impressions of your mouth using our intraoral scanner, and communicate your goals and concerns to the ClearCorrect laboratory.

Building Your Plan

Next, Dr. Feldman will work closely with ClearCorrect to build a custom treatment plan. Once your plan is finished, ClearCorrect will build your first several sets of aligners and send them to our office.

Picking Up Your Aligners

Once your aligners arrive at our office, we'll schedule an appointment for you to pick them up. Throughout the process, there may be occasional procedures needed to facilitate tooth movement. These procedures do not require anesthetic and are pain-free. Each set of aligners is worn for about two weeks, for 20-22 hours per day. Make sure to follow your treatment plan closely.

Checkups & Continued Treatment

About every 4-6 weeks, you’ll come back to our office for a quick checkup. Dr. Feldman will make sure your treatment is on track. Then, he’ll give you your next series of aligners, which you’ll wear according to his instructions. This same process will repeat until your treatment is completed, which usually takes about a year.
